2 days ago I started to get this little cough. Yesterday it progressed into a sore throat. Today its progressed into an even worse cough, worse sore throat, and a slightly runny nose. In a little over a week theres going to be a school dance. I don’t want to end up not going or going but coughing the entire time because I’m sick. Does anyone know of any remedies or whatever to help prevent it from getting worse or the best way to help it go away faster? I know about all the simple stuff like medicine, soups, tea, rest, and nutrition. But usually my colds don’t go away for about a month if i treat it normally. I just want to feel better by the time the dance comes.

Okay, a home remedy that actuall works:
Take clove or two of fresh crushed garlic and add to a small glass of warm water. Drink the lot.
You could do this several times a day, for several days. You’ll be fine to go to the dance, have a great time.

I’m seeing my boyfriend tomorrow, and i go a cold sore today! I really don’t want him to see it! Does anyone have any tricks or old remedies that could help me get rid of it by tomorrow?

I use anbosol, it kills the virus and it heals,but, there is a new thing out that can mask a cold sore. I keep seeing the commercials but can’t remember what it’s called. Check it out at a pharmacy.
