1– Carmex works, also use Aquifer.
2–It could be from simply licking your lips too much but if you kissed someone who had one then that could also be the reason for having it.
3–personally no.

I got a sore in the corner of my mouth right where my bottom and top lips meet and it was really dry. I’m not sure if it’s just dry lips or if it’s a cold sore. I don’t have any blisters or bleeding it’s just sore. If it is a cold sore any remedies that will work

This might be Angular Cheilitis which causes cuts in the corner of the mouth which can then get infected and become sores that can be confused with cold sores and blisters.

What can make matters more confusing for sufferers is that those cuts can get more inflamed and sore if they get infected with thrush or Candida albicans as it is also known doubling your problems.

Since having my baby 6m ago I keep getting reoccurring cold sores all over my top lip, they are really sore & i don’t feel i can kiss the Little ones is there anything i can do/take?

I have a very acute allergy to certain foods and such. I am deathly allergic to all nuts. I am allergic to dust, melons and am very allergic to pollen.
When I eat thin skinned fruits, if i am not careful and I bite the fruit and the broken skin of the fruit touches my lips, sometimes I get a cold sore on my lip.
I have been told that this is because pollen penetrates the fruit’s thin skin as it grows and when I bite into the fruit, the pollen gets onto my lips.
I understand that the majority of answers will be statements of Herpes and such. That is fine, but please if you know any remedies on how to treat a cold sore, it would be greatly appreciated!

I felt the tingle of the sore come on at about 6pm lastnight and wan’t able to use herpecinL on it until this morning at 7am. there are two tiny blisters. I just tried the rubbing alcohol treatment, I have “alcohol prep pads” they are 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Is this the correct type, and if, at this stage, will the alcohol work?

It takes a while to heal. . .
Grab a Q-Tip, Dip the Q-Tip in apple cider vinegar and put some on your cold sore… Oh wait i wonder if this is just for cankers??

A bucket, waste paper bin or a paper bag…. I’m sorry I couldn’t resist.
I suffer with cold sores espesh at this time of year and I have never found anything that gets rid of the fast, besides if this first date freaks cos you have a cold sore there not worth it. I’m sure you are still gorgeous even with your cold sore.

i need a cold sore remedy that will clear up this cold sore. everybody says that if you feel it coming on you can stop it before it shows up and i tried that by putting some abreva on it but that didnt work. and i’ve been using the abreva for a day and its only gotten bigger.
i need some home remedies that actually work that’ll clear up this cold sore before i have to go back to school. luckily school is closed tomorrow, and hopefully we’ll get tuesday off to for the snow so if the remedy could work in like a day that would be amazing.
ps dont say abreva cause it doesnt work.
