Okay, so for the past few months, my upper lip (and only upper lip) has been swelling up a bit, it’s been puffy. This only lasts a couple of days, but it’s embarrassing and annoying, as you can believe.
I’m not sure if it’s a cold sore because it’s not rough or very visible, it’s a small smooth bump (as smooth as my lips) and the thing is that it causes not just the limp to puff up, my my whole upper lip kinda gets poofy. One time it was really bad where it was like the space between my nose and my lip was soo poofy that it was almost at the tip of my nose >.<
Then it went away...
Anyone know what this is?
I'm really hoping it's nothing serious like herpes, but I did just get out of a relationship in February.
Also, I've been under stress lately. Don't know if that helps with answering.

Oh, and if you know what this is, could you give me some possible remedies?
I was thinking maybe this could be an allergic reaction to something? Maybe?

You need to get this checked out at the doc. A cold sore is a definate spot that shows up as a tinglely blisters type sore on your lip. This is not what you described so go see your doc.

I have a cold. The works- chills, sweats, cough, sore throat, body aches. My nose is not stopped up and I haven’t really been sneezing, though. My dad usually makes me “feel good soup” made with veggie boullion, garlic, noodles, egg whites and hot sauce. Any other suggestions?

add ginger, basil leaves (fresh), and black pepper, and boil for 5 mins. thn drink it. add sugar to taste. it always works

What are some safe remedies that I can use for my cold sore. I’ve never had one come on this fast. I didn’t feel anything till late last night and now my lip is gigantic and has taken over my mouth. Anyone have any pregnancy safe remedies to get rid of cold sores. Right now I am applying ice to my mouth to reduce swelling.

cold sores usually come from too much acid in the stomach try and take some tums i pretty sure there pregnancy approved to reduce acid.

Well I feel fine everywhere except my throat. My glands are pretty swollen and swallowing is uncomfortable. No fever, no runny nose, no coughing.
Any home remedies?

The old warm water with salt in it. The whole idea is to keep it clean and free of bacteria and things. Try a little lime in the water too. If I can afford it I like to make a mouth wash from a mexican tree bark called “cuachalata”. And some Arnica tea with honey after.
