Day 4 of my cold sore/sun blisters…..their kind of yellow crusting now, but under the crust is still the sore and I’ve done teabags, ice, and abreva, and petroleum jelly the last 3 days…what should I do now

I have a pretty bad cold sore, which started developing yesterday afternoon… I have been putting Lysine ointment on it, but it doesn’t seem to do much except possibly make it worse. i have been trying to read up on the best way to heal a cold sore, but there are so many different answers… Could anyone tell me their best remedy, and how quickly it worked?

Abreva is the only over-the-counter remedy that has been shown to shorten the time you have the cold sore. It usually heals it a couple of days earlier than without it. There are others available with a prescription such as Zovirax or Denavir that work well also.

I have a little red line above my lip. My friends say its a cold sore and its irritating me. I’ve tried the toothpaste remedy and it didn’t work. I’ve been putting on chapstick too. Some people say to get L-Lystine or something like that.
Any tips? Should i get L-Lystine?
If so where can i get it?

So this morning, I woke up and i like opened my mouth kinda wide and the corner of my mouth ripped a tiny bit like a really small cut, but it turned into a cold sore i think and i was just wondering if anyone knows any remedies of how to make it go away. I get my braces off in about four days (on thursday morning) and they have to put this thing in my mouth to keep my lips open and im afraid it will hurt really bad and tear it a lot more so i want it to go away before then.

I have a really bad sore throat for a lil over a week now. i have white things on my tonsils also. I have a lot of green mucus that is stuck in the back of my nasal passage way and at night it blocks my throat and its hard for me to breath. i have to breath through my mouth. i dont have any insurance so i cant go to the dr. i have also been garggling with warm salt water but it doesnt really help.
1. i’m not doing anything illegal.
2. its not strep. i have more cold symptoms. plus i know why i have a sore throat. i was out mardi gras-ing last weekend in the cold weather.

drink tea with lemon and honey. Gargle with salt and warm water. cough drops. drink lots of fluids.
