I get cold sores every few months. Each time, they appear right below my bottom lip, almost completely on my chin. Does anyone know any remedies to make them disappear? I use a product called Abreva which seems to work pretty well, but it’s not fast enough! Help!

Herpecin lip balm. It seems to work the fastest. But you should find out why you are getting them.
Stress, acidic foods, too much sun can cause them. They are a herpes virus..that you can’t get rid of.
Talk to you Doc if you are getting an outbreak as often as you say.

I get cold sores occasionally and they are so painful and take forever to heal. Does anyone know of any home remedies to heal them up faster, or maybe something over the counter I can get to get rid of it?

a friend of mine uses abriva…..i think that’s how you spell it….walmart has it usually by the pharmacy…a little pricey but friend swears by it

I have had a cold sore in my lip for a few days and i was wondering if theres any quick home remedies to get rid of it?

I always use salt water. It stings a little but after that wears off, (bout 4 seconds) it leaves it soothed and u know it will be drying out the sore and healing it. Just mix a spoon of salt with 8 spoons of boiling water and allow to cool a little. Other than that I hear alcohol is good, say neat vodka. The best remedy I ever had though (and it aint natural) is using a cream containing acyclovir. In uk u would ask 4 zovirax. Its meant to be put on when u feel a tingle b4 the sore appears, but i find that using it when in the later stages also helps massively 2. hope this helps
